Frieda Short, played by co-star Laurie Dawn, is a supporting character in the episode "Peg of Old". She cares for Lucy Danziger's baby until Nelson Van Alden comes home when Lucy claims she needs to go out to buy formula. She believes Van Alden and Danziger are married because they use a false name - the Muellers.
