Season 1[]

Nucky Thompson insists his lover Margaret Schroeder to endorse Edward Bader's campaign for Mayor before the local branch of the League of Women Voters in August 1920, despite Margaret's doubts about the candidate's qualifications for the position.

The current Mayor, Harry Bacharach, announces at the meeting that he won't seek reelection and introduces Margaret. After a few conforting words from Nucky, she speaks in favor of Bader as they agreed. Her friend Nan Britton and her colleague at the Women's Temperance League, Mrs. McGarry are also present. She finishes introducing Bader and the audience break in a rousing applause. As she seats aside, however, Margaret notices Nucky, Neary and O'Neill talking and laughing together at their table.
