Mrs Mayhew is an African American resident of Atlantic City and lives in a neighborhood under the protection of bootlegger Chalky White. She attends a neighbourhood meeting to ask Chalky to help her with noisy neighbours. She is grateful when he agrees to intervene. She is played by Marilyn Berry.
