Scotty Gulliver, played by John Harrington Bland, is the manager of the Chicago branch of the Farrady Electric Iron company.

Biography

His nephew Phil wins the annual sales competition for 1922 and celebrates New Year's Eve with his colleagues at an office party. He tells George Mueller that he is too late when he returns with enough sales to win, but after the deadline. ("Resolution")

Scotty gives a speech to inspire his salesman in January 1923, mentioning The Man in the Arrow Shirt and film actress Gloria Swanson as people in need of an electric iron, before handing out new leads. He is disappointed when Mueller does not come up to claim one. Mueller has been the victim of a gag pen planted by his colleagues and is embarrassed, claiming that he is having a problem with his case and hiding behind it. ("Bone for Tuna")
